The 1st of April always brings some amazing stories to the gaming industry but this one has a lot of people scratching their heads. An internal promotion video for Forza 4 has been released to the public and has caused quite a storm (The main one being Microsoft have pulled it).
Microsoft have since issued a statement received and published by several gaming news sites, the video “was not intended for public distribution and may not accurately reflect features and functionality that ship in Forza Motorsport 4.” Microsofts concern may lie in promising features such as 16-player online races, 80 automobile manufacturers and social car clubs.
While we are in doubt about the authenticity of the video it is quite polished and touches on confirmed features like the Kinect interactitvity. It could be that this is Turn 10 and Microsoft trying to hit us with some kind of viral campaign – Who knows but I am sure the future will tell us all we need to know.
